Ronnie H. Quess was born on July 21, 1948, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Herbert and Ethel Guess. His earthly life ended on October 30, 2022, for eternal life with God.
Ronnie attended Duval County public schools and graduated from New Stanton high school. After graduating from New Stanton, he went on to join the military. Ronnie enlisted with The United States Marine Corps and served his Country until 1973. While serving in the military he received the medal award of good conduct in 1967.
Ronnie continued his career at Sunbeam Bakery, then later at The City of Jacksonville as a Jax port supervisor. Ronnie loved fishing and would go every chance he had. He would also tell the most fantastic stories to any and everyone.
Ronnie H. Quess was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Quess; parents, Herbert, and Ethel Guess; sisters, Pauline Phelps, and Elizabeth Guess Moore.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his fond memories, his children, Yvette Flemming (Karl), Deshya Quess, Loni (D’Ana) Ford, Ronnie J, Quess and Craig Guess; grandchildren, Andre Canty (Ki’Tara), Kariis Flemming, Korliss Fleeming, Nicole Guess, Lailoni Ford, Ja’zire Thomas, Jacquel Thomas, and Arya Canty; great-grandchildren, Kyra Canty and Erin Smith; sisters, Edith Green, and Mary D. James. Ronnie also leaves to cherish his devoted niece LeNora Allen, and God-daughter Courtney Davis. As well as a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and many loving family members and friends.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitations will be held at Frazier Family Funerals, 2214 Dunn Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Funeral service for Mr. Ronnie H. Quess will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11a.m. at Gateway to Heaven Christian Church, 7700 North Pearl Street, Jacksonville, FL 32208.
