Sharon Elaine (Write) Carter

Sharon Elaine Wright-Carter was born September 20, 1949, to the late Eddie and Catherine Wright. She peacefully fell asleep in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 29, 2022.

Sharon, also known as, "Shar", "Mrs. Cocktail", and "GiGi" attended the public schools of Duval County. She was compassionate, full of life and full of laughter. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed cookouts and watching her favorite daytime soap operas along with her favorite television show Texas Walker Ranger. She gave everyone a nickname, from her children, grandchildren, to her family and friends.

Sharon Elaine Wright-Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Carter; her son, Albert Carter; grandson, Key’an Byrd; brother, Eddie Wright; sisters Cassandra Brown and Priscilla Moore; and her devoted and loving companion Thomas Walker.

Sharon leaves to cherish her loving daughters; Lisa Mosley (Gregory), Cecile Carter, and Katrina Walker of Marietta, GA; sons, Carl Williams, Michael Collins, Derrick Collins, and Maurice Collins; brothers, Edward Wright (Jaqueline), Darnell Wright (Ann) , and Leon Wright; sisters, Yvonne Wynn (Johnny) , Jeanette Kinson, Catherine Patterson (Booker), and LaWanda Bailey (Roland); grandchildren, Roychelle Smith (Antonio), Sharika Frazier (Randy), Shantora Hansley (Brandon), Latrell Pough, Ja’Lisa Mosley, Ciara Holley (Bryant), Shanice Martin (Derrick), Jene’ Walker, Rahsahan Ackerman Jr, Alaisa Carter and Terrell Ackerman. She also leaves to cherish a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and additional family and friends.
